We were approached by Volker Rail, who needed one of our annexe mounted signalling enclosures on a very quick turnaround, for our assistance on their install for Feltham depot’s mainline signalling alterations.

After Volker Rail placed their order on the Monday, we prepared one of our annexe enclosures from stock, ready for collection from our head office in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire on Thursday morning.

Our annexe mounted signalling enclosures provide a low cost, efficient solution to delivering additional signalling equipment within the existing LOC architecture. This includes:

• TPWS
• New track circuits
• Axle counter modules

For the Feltham depot, the unit we supplied featured internal relay gates, Wago terminal rails and Tx mounting points.

By upgrading the already existing LOC, we were able to supply more signalling at a reduced civil engineering cost. This also allowed for the signalling upgrade without the need to shut the station, reducing any impact to Network Rail’s passengers.
